About Us

Who We Are

The Art of Tennis Academy develops young players in a multidisciplinary environment, combining tennis, movement and creativity to build confidence and inner strength from the earliest stages of life.

How the academy began

The Idea

The academy grew out of a simple belief. Children learn best when they are moving, making and playing at the same time. Tennis gives them the movement. Art gives them the space to think. Put together, they build a kind of confidence that lasts well beyond the court.

The Approach

Our coaches work with small groups so every child gets attention. Sessions are active, encouraging and built around the age and ability of the players in front of us, from first swings at four years old through to competitive juniors.

Where We Are Now

We run weekly programs, seasonal camps and custom training across Vancouver, working alongside local community centres. Families come for the tennis and stay for the environment their children grow up in.

Mission, Vision & Values

Mission

To develop young people through tennis, movement and creativity, in an environment where effort is valued more than results and every child is given room to grow.

Vision

An academy known not only for the players it produces, but for the confidence, curiosity and character its students carry with them long after they leave the court.

Values

Patience with beginners. Honesty in coaching. Respect between players. Creativity as part of training, not a break from it. Fun as the reason anyone keeps playing at all.

Rooted in the neighbourhoods we serve

Local Partners

We deliver programs with community centres across the city. Working through them keeps our classes close to home and keeps costs within reach for the families in each neighbourhood.

Open To Everyone

You do not need a background in tennis to start. Most of our players arrive having never held a racquet. What matters is that a child is willing to try something new.

Beyond The Court

Children who train with us learn to encourage each other, handle setbacks and keep going when something is hard. Those habits carry into school and into everything else they take on.
